When a visitors want to visit Tanzania, he/she should have a passport valid for a minimum six months beyond visa issuance and date of entry in Tanzania, and you are required to have at least one blank visa page. Visitors who enter on visas must present a roundtrip ticket and demonstrate they have sufficient funds for their stay.
So that for any visitor who want to enter in Tanzanian territory must have a tourist visa, the price is $ One hundred for United State passport holders, $50 for EU and US$75 for Canadians, most other passport holders. What is needed is to obtain the visa from the Tanzanian Embassy at your country of origin.
Visitors from different countries need a visa for entry in Tanzania unless your country has an agreement with Tanzania under which this requirement has been removed. Check with the Tanzanian at the embassy in your country. It is done for some visitors not all of them from different countries. Your first option you need to understand which requirement are most used when you want to enter in Tanzania and then prepare all needed document in order to avoid disturbance when you’re in Tanzania. After sometime the visitors will receive their application notification if they are rejected or accepted through their electronic mails. They may also Track their application statuses through the online system. Applicants may as well be required to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassies or Consular Offices for interviews.

No refund will be made to the rejected visa application.
The Visa applications will be processed within ten days; therefore, visitors should consider time.

For the Referral countries applicant Visa category are not advised to book flight tickets or make payments for any reservations in Tanzania before they get approval for their Visa. Applicants of Referral Visa are advised to apply at least two months before their date of travel;
Visa change time to time to the list of countries which fall under Referred; so that you are advised to review website time to time.
The applicant won’t get prior notification on the changes of the Visa regulations and conditions.

The Ordinary visa validity does not exceed 90 days for single entry. This visa is granted to foreign national for the purposes of Visit, Tourism, Humanitarian and charity activities, Leisure, Holiday, attending Conference Family Visit, Health Treatment or any other purpose as may be determined by the issuing authority.
For those who wish to enter the United Republic of Tanzania, Visa will take at most 90 days to foreign nationals.

For frequent visits to the United Republic of Tanzania by the foreigners. These may include Directors of Companies registered in Tanzania who do not reside in the country, Persons engaged in Bilateral Meetings, Government Consultants, Spouses married to Tanzanians/Residents, Representatives of international NGO’s and any other person as may be determined by the Commissioner General of Immigration or Commissioner of Immigration Zanzibar.
Also, for the American Visitors who visit for holiday and other tourism purpose is issued. It is valid for 12 months. Even though they will not stay all months in Tanzania. Required to leave the country at every 3 years.
Also, this is another valid Visa, there is sometimes visitors want to visit another country apart from Tanzania, this Visa may be issued to foreign nationals for the purpose of transiting through to another destination outside the United Republic for a period not exceeding seven days. The applicant of this visa may be required to provide proof of a Visa of the destination country and Onward ticket.
This is another valid visa; this Visa may be issued for a period not exceed 2 yrs. visa is granted to foreign national who enters the Country for the purpose of Academic conduct such as Research Students, Intern, Volunteering, EAC Students, Exchange students and Prospective Students admitted in recognized and legally registered Institutions.
This visa may be issued for a single entry or multiple entries to a holder of diplomatic, services or official passport or Travel Document of recognized International Organization who is on official duty and their Dependents. It can be also issued to a holder of ordinary passport or Travel document as it may be directed by the Commissioner General of Immigration and Commissioner of Immigration Zanzibar.
