The types of accommodation/ kind of accomodation used in my Tanzania safari,It depends on the budget of the visitor. Each accommodation of Tanzania safari, has its uniqueness and varies in price. There are a large Properties that reflects resort style accommodation, and these are generally found on Zanzibar island, and not on the Tanzania safari circuits.

Of these, based on fieldwork and interviews with the travel trade, only one-third or 3000 rooms were judged to meet international standards. Because of the construction of new hotels and lodges for international tourists, and the refurbishment of existing properties, the number of rooms of international standard rose to 4,500.

There are many different style of accommodation available on Tanzania safari that including a variety of tented options. We would strongly point that there are several other keys elements to consider, when assessing accommodation options; location, size, number of rooms, management style, view, atmosphere, food quality etc. Accommodations to use during your Tanzania safari are described below;
Tanzania Safari lodge also known as game lodge; are situated anywhere in Tanzania. These lodges are larger permanent structure built of bricks and mortar.
These lodges are smaller than hotels, but have the same service and amenities like restaurants and swimming pools. Lodges ranges from three stars to the five stars. Each National Park, there is lodges inside the park, and outside the park. This lodges offer meals and activities such as game drive in addition to accommodation.
This are clearly permanent and whilst, the walls of the Tanzania safari accommodation are still canvas, its rooms are usually built onto a concrete plinth, or a raised wooden deck, often housed under a thatch roof. Tent zips are likely to be replaced by wood-frame doors, and bathrooms are often more substantial, with fully plumbed facilities.
Tented lodge simply be more luxurious and probably, also offer more sophisticated levels of food and service. The very top tented lodges may include air-conditioning or private plunge pools
Luxury tented camps on Tanzania safari can be amazingly comfortable with excellent food and first class service. They have greater infrastructure and facilities, such as larger tents, more comfortable furnishings, flush toilets, 24 hour lighting, more extensive relaxation areas and more staff to look after you.
Some tented camps of Tanzania safari, will still have bucket showers and may be seasonal in style, feeling quite adventurous. Most tented camps/camps have canvas walls/doors including for bathroom.
Many tented camps of Tanzania safari, now offer high levels of comfort where tents are spacious and luxuriously furnished, ablution facilities are fully plumbed and central relaxation areas offer greater comforts. However, we would still not expect tented camps, to have swimming pools or significant permanent foundations
This often built or partially re-built seasonally. traditional bush camps of Tanzania safari offer a near to nature experience. They usually built at ground level, but may sometimes be raised on permanent wooden platforms.
Floors could be compacted ‘earth’ or reed matting, mosquito nets are essential and windows and doors can be open air (often with shutters for night time) for those using this type of accommodation. The whole feel is one of being ‘seasonal’ and close to nature.
Tanzania safari Luxury bush camps, are naturally more comfortable and these days are usually permanent structures, even if they close for a period of time each year. Units are likely to be larger and sturdier, often built on solid wooden platforms and potentially under a thatch roof. Mosquito gauze may be used for windows. Ablution facilities are still varied and may be open air, but plumbed facilities are more likely. When bush camps become very comfortable and permanent, they start to morph into a safari lodge.
Some of the lodges and camps on Tanzania safari, are located inside national Park, while some might be located just outside the national park in a nearby town or village.
Some accommodations in Tanzania safari could be as far as 1 hour drive away from the nearest park gate. If you are specifically looking for accommodations located inside, or very close to gate or outside National Park, please let us know.
Double sharing room would have 1 large bed (king size of queen size bed) and twin sharing room would have 2 single beds in a room. For 2 people sharing a room, we usually book double room.

Because of their remote location of some camps of Tanzania safari, Wi-Fi/Phone network may not be available at some of the accommodations. Even where its available, it might not work consistently throughout the lodge and could be limited to common areas.
Most of the lodges/camps located inside the National Park in Tanzania safari, are not fenced and wildlife might come close to the rooms. These are however absolutely safe and thousands of tourists stay in such camps across Africa every night.

All accommodations on Tanzania safari, are booked on Full Board basis; Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner are prepared and served by accommodation. Beverages and other alcoholic drinks are not included in most packages, this are charged additional to the clients directly. Some of the accommodations can be booked on All Inclusive basis in which case beverages, will be included with your stay. This will be mentioned in your voucher for the respective accommodation
Lunch on Tanzania safari, is usually arranged and Packed by your accommodation. Your guide will suggest a picnic lunch spot where you can enjoy the packed lunch. This allows for more flexibility in game drives, and safari schedule.
Hot lunch can be arranged on some of the days, upon early end of the tour in the early morning prior request
Most accommodations of Tanzania safari, offer about 750ml to 1 liter drinking water per person per night. These bottles are usually found in your room and are usually complimentary.
If you need additional drinking water, you can carry some from your vehicle to your accommodation. Bottled water ordered in restaurant, is usually charged at hotel rates.
