A Lovely Day Discovering Zanzibar

Our day trip from Bwejuu was such a lovely part of our time in Zanzibar. We wanted to explore beyond the beach and see a little more of the island, and Tanzania Natural Tours made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Our guide, Hamisi, met us in the morning and immediately made us feel welcome. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to explain the places we passed along the way. We started with a visit to Jozani Forest, where we had the chance to walk through the forest and see the famous red colobus monkeys. It was wonderful seeing them moving through the trees so close to us. After that, we continued toward the coast and enjoyed some time around a local fishing village. We loved seeing the traditional boats and watching everyday life by the ocean. We also stopped for a delicious local lunch, including fresh seafood, which was one of the unexpected highlights of the day.

Before returning to Bwejuu, we had time to relax by the water and take in the beautiful tropical scenery. Nothing felt rushed, and Hamisi made sure we had enough time to enjoy each stop and take photos. A big thank you to Hamisi and everyone at Tanzania Natural Tours. From the pickup to the final drive back to Bwejuu, everything was handled smoothly. It was a simple but very memorable day, and we came away feeling that we had experienced a more local side of Zanzibar.
