A Memorable Wildlife Adventure
After spending a few days exploring the beautiful Kenyan coast, including Mombasa Old Town, Fort Jesus, and the beaches of Diani, I decided to continue my Kenyan adventure with a safari to Tsavo West National Park from Mombasa. The journey from Mombasa was an adventure in itself. Once I entered Tsavo West, the scenery changed dramatically from the coastal environment to open savannah, volcanic landscapes, and rugged hills. My first game drive was fantastic. I spotted elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and several species of birds. One of the highlights was seeing elephants covered in the reddish soil that Tsavo is famous for.
I also visited Mzima Springs, where I enjoyed a nature walk and saw hippos and crocodiles in the clear spring waters. The experience was completely different from what I had experienced at the coast.
