A Tour We Will Always Remember in Zanzibar

Our day trip from Paje was one of the most enjoyable days we spent in Zanzibar. We wanted to see more of the island beyond the beach near our hotel, and Tanzania Natural Tours put together a wonderful experience that allowed us to enjoy several different sides of Zanzibar in one day. Our guide, Salim, was fantastic from the moment he picked us up in Paje. He was friendly, patient, and full of interesting stories about the island. What we appreciated most was how relaxed he made everything feel. There was never any rushing, and he was always happy to answer our questions or give us more time when we found something particularly interesting.

We started the day with a boat trip along the coast, where the water was incredibly clear and the scenery was beautiful. We stopped for some snorkeling and had a great time swimming among the colorful fish. Later, we visited a local spice farm, which was completely different from what we expected. Smelling the fresh cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, and other spices while learning how they are grown was such an interesting experience. Lunch was another highlight. We enjoyed some delicious local food and fresh seafood, and it was a great opportunity to experience a little more of the island's everyday flavors rather than simply eating at a hotel.

We also spent some time exploring the local surroundings before heading back toward Paje. The combination of the ocean, spices, food, people, and beautiful scenery made the day feel much more special than just another excursion. A big thank you to Salim and the whole Tanzania Natural Tours team. Everything was organized smoothly, but what we will remember most is how welcoming everyone was. It felt less like being taken on a standard tour and more like spending a day discovering Zanzibar with someone who genuinely loves the island.

We returned to Paje tired but very happy, with plenty of photos and stories to take home. Asante sana for such a beautiful Zanzibar experience!
