A Wonderful Day Exploring Zanzibar’s Culture and History

My parents, partner and I did a full day tour for usd 65 each. We were picked up from the hotel, taken to a spice farm for 2h, followed by a delicious local lunch and a 2h Stone Town tour with Rashidi who taught us a lot about the history of Zanzibar. We were back at the hotel by 430pm and could enjoy the evening with cocktails. A must-do trip

If there is one thing I would change for myself, it's to give the main guide at the Spice Tour a set tip and ask him to distribute appropriately. I felt a bit of tip fatigue throughout, between buying community soaps and spices, to a spider man climbing a tree to get us fresh coconuts, to handmade hats and bags, to the cook who made lunch. We do love supporting the local communities I need to get smarter about it in the future.

It was a great tour and well planned. I would recommend it
