How do I get from Arusha to the Serengeti for a balloon safari?

Most travelers from Arusha travel to the Serengeti by safari vehicle as part of a multi-day safari, usually staying overnight near the balloon launch area. Since balloon flights take place around sunrise, you cannot normally leave Arusha on the same morning and expect to join the flight. The best option is to reach the Serengeti the day before and stay close to the launch site.
