What kind of staff will accompany me on the climb?

The typical ratio is five local staff members for each climber, though small groups may have six or eight staff members per climber. The staff usually includes an English-speaking guide, a professional cook, and porters who carry gear. We encourage you to interact with your staff. They are all trustworthy local people who grew up in the shadow of the mountain. Many have climbed the peak at least fifty times.
