Cool island, beautiful views, great tortoises.

We booked through Tanzania Natural Tours and arrived at Prison Island on a private Dhow for $30+ for the 3 of us. A wonderful boat rides! Entrance and tourist fees to see the giant Aldabra tortoises were reasonable for us. I really enjoyed this trip, getting up close and personal with the amazing giant turtles, especially the moment when we were given spinach to feed them. They are incredible and worth seeing. Our guide walked us around the prison island, showed us the turtles in their habitat, and gave us time to explore. After sharing the places history, we had a chance to swim and paddle in the ocean before heading back to shore. All in all, a great tour. Highly recommended.
