Discovering Lake Naivasha After Exploring Mombasa was special

When I planned my Kenya holiday, I knew I wanted to experience both the coast and the natural beauty of the countryside. I started my journey in Mombasa, where I had already visited Diani Beach, explored Mombasa Old Town, and enjoyed the beautiful Indian Ocean. Those first experiences were fantastic, but I was ready for something completely different. From Mombasa, I travelled inland toward Lake Naivasha, passing through the spectacular landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. My arrival at Lake Naivasha was peaceful and exciting at the same time. I joined a boat ride across the lake and enjoyed watching hippos and different bird species. The calm waters, surrounding scenery, and abundant birdlife made the experience perfect for photography. One of the most memorable activities was visiting Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. Walking through the natural environment and seeing giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other wildlife without the barriers of a traditional vehicle safari gave me a unique connection with nature. I also explored some of the wildlife attractions and scenic areas around Lake Naivasha. The experience offered excellent opportunities to see wildlife, photograph the landscape, and appreciate the diversity of Kenya's natural environment. By the end of the journey, I felt that I had experienced two very different sides of Kenya—the beautiful coast around Mombasa and the peaceful natural scenery and wildlife of Lake Naivasha. It was a memorable experience and one of the highlights of my Kenya holiday.
