Samburu Exceeded Our Expectations
A mid-range group safari in Samburu National Reserve was a great option for us because we wanted to experience Kenya's northern wilderness while keeping our safari affordable and social. Sharing a safari vehicle with other travelers helped us reduce the overall cost while still giving us excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.
Samburu offered us a completely different atmosphere from Kenya's more famous southern safari destinations. The landscape was rugged and beautiful, with the Ewaso Nyiro River providing an important water source for wildlife. During our game drives, we had the opportunity to see elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and many species of birds. Our mid-range lodge provided a good balance between comfort and price. After a day of game drives, we enjoyed relaxing in comfortable accommodation, having our meals, and sharing our safari experiences with fellow travelers. For us, this was one of the best ways to experience Samburu without paying the premium associated with a completely private safari. We would highly recommend a mid-range group safari to solo travelers, friends, and couples who enjoy meeting other travelers while exploring the incredible wildlife and landscapes of Samburu.
