That first view of the great Ngorongoro Crater from its forested rim is one of those African experiences you will never forget. And when you drive down into the crater, the experience just keeps getting better. By 11am we had already seen lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo (a herd of close to a thousand!) and shortly after lunch we saw a leopard resting in a tree. Spotting all the big five within the space of 5 hours has to be some sort of record!
