Trek at a steady group pace while allowing your body time to adjust to the increasing altitude. Moir Hut Camp to Buffalo Camp

After breakfast, continue from Moir Hut Camp toward Buffalo Camp. The route crosses rugged high-altitude terrain along the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro. Trek with your group and guide at a comfortable pace, taking regular breaks for hydration and acclimatization. Depending on weather conditions, enjoy views toward Kibo and the surrounding northern slopes. Arrive at Buffalo Camp, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp

After breakfast, leave Buffalo Camp and continue trekking toward Third Cave Camp. Maintain a steady group pace while allowing enough time for rest and acclimatization. Arrive at Third Cave Camp, settle in, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Third Cave Camp to School Hut

After breakfast, continue from Third Cave Camp toward School Hut. The trail gradually gains elevation through the alpine desert as you approach the upper mountain zone. Trek at a controlled group pace with your mountain guide and support crew, taking regular breaks as needed. Upon reaching School Hut, settle into camp and prepare for the high-altitude section ahead. Your guide will provide a summit briefing and help you organize your summit clothing, water and essential equipment before you rest for the night.

Crater Camp to School Huts

Today focuses on the high-altitude crater section of the Northern Circuit. Continue toward the upper slopes and crater area with your mountain guide. The terrain becomes increasingly rocky and exposed as you approach the summit zone. Depending on the planned route, park conditions and required arrangements, continue toward Crater Camp and settle into the high-altitude camp. Spend the night resting and preparing for the final summit attempt. Crater Camping is recognized by TANAPA as a special activity within Kilimanjaro National Park.

Crater Camp to Uhuru Peak to Millennium Camp

Wake early and begin the final summit section with your mountain guide. Trek from Crater Camp toward Uhuru Peak at a slow and controlled pace across the high-altitude terrain. Continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the highest point in Africa. After reaching Uhuru Peak, take time for photographs and to appreciate the summit experience, subject to weather and trail conditions. Begin the descent from the summit area and continue toward Millennium Camp. As you lose altitude, the environment gradually becomes less exposed. Arrive at Millennium Camp, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi

After breakfast, begin your final descent from Millennium Camp toward Mweka Gate. Continue through the changing mountain vegetation as you descend toward the lower forest zone. Enjoy the final section of your Kilimanjaro adventure before reaching Mweka Gate.

At Mweka Gate, complete the required park exit procedures and meet your transfer vehicle.
