Your 9-day Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a transfer from Moshi to Lemosho Gate, located on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing the registration and park entry procedures, you will begin your trek through the lush montane forest. The trail is peaceful and scenic, with opportunities to enjoy the rich vegetation and surrounding wilderness. After several hours of hiking, you will arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Moir Hut Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Today is an important acclimatization day and one of the most scenic sections of the route. You will hike from Moir Hut toward Lava Tower at approximately 4,630 meters, gaining significant altitude before descending toward Barranco Camp. The trail passes through dramatic alpine desert landscapes dominated by volcanic rocks and giant senecio plants. After reaching Lava Tower, you will descend into the beautiful Barranco Valley, allowing your body to adjust to the changing altitude. You will spend the night at Barranco Camp.

After breakfast, you will begin the day by tackling the famous Barranco Wall. The trail includes several ascents and descents through the alpine desert zone. After arriving at Karanga Camp, you will have dinner and spend the night.

Today you will hike from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp, the final base camp before your summit attempt. After reaching Barafu Camp, your guides will provide a briefing about the summit attempt and help you prepare your equipment. You will have an early dinner and rest as much as possible before the midnight summit departure.

You will wake around midnight and begin your summit attempt toward Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters. The climb is challenging, taking you through steep and rocky terrain toward Stella Point before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak. After reaching the summit, you will have time to celebrate, take photographs, and enjoy the incredible views before beginning your descent. You will descend through Barafu and continue toward Mweka Camp, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

You will then meet your transfer vehicle and travel back to Moshi, where your 9-day Kilimanjaro adventure comes to an end.
